I got into Wharton and they asked me on March 21 for verification of my citizenship lol. They asked me to send it to the ADMISSIONS OFFICE, not the FINANCIAL AID office. I guess they wanted to know I was a US Citizen before they took me so that they could offer me financial aid.

Reeze, I had that problem at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign but they notified me of that problem after my acceptance. Also, I had to give the info to fin-aid and not admissions

Did anyone who completed their fin-aid application recently get their award (online) yet? When I click on "Penn Plan," I am taken to a website that tells me the following:

Congratulations on your admission to Penn! On behalf of Student Financial Services, welcome to the University of Pennsylvania.

Our records indicate that your financial aid application has recently become complete. Your application has been given priority, and we expect to review it shortly. We will post the results of our evaluation on this secure site, and suggest that you check back in a few days. Once your financial aid eligibility is determined, you will be able to use PennPlan online to review and compare payment options, and use an interactive worksheet to calculate monthly payments.

Be assured that Student Financial Services is working as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please visit the SFS website at www.sfs.upenn.edu for general information and contact our office if you have further questions.

I think there should be a link for you to click on to see your proposed award...at least that's how it is with mine. of course, the award isn't final until you sumbit more forms but the figures are based on FAFSA and the college board form...

so, in a way, it's free to apply to penn?

yep i think if they request finaid forms then you're in. i got a letter asking for tax returns around march 10 and then another reminder around the 20th. i got in.

oh yeah the exact same thing happened with williams but just because you they do NOT request them is not a bad thing...Brown and Northwestern and Dartmouth didnt request but I was accepted. So it probably won't mean anything if you don't get one, but if you do, it's a very good sign.
