I am a rising sophomore and I currently have a dismal unweighted GPA of 3.56, which I would do anything to fix. I am upset because I feel as if no matter how great I perform from here on out, I will not be able to compensate for what happened my first year of high school. Practical advice and encouragement welcome.
Work hard in the years to come and you will be just fine. Colleges like upward trends in GPA because it shows that you are working hard and improving. Some colleges donât even count freshman year.
3.56 is a great GPA, at my school youâre âdoing greatâ with a weighted 3.0.
Yeah 3.56 is pretty dismal rolls eyes
Joking aside, 3.56 is like a A (ish?) and thatâs a really good grade. I see where youâre coming from though. My UW GPA is a 3.73 and CR is 9 (top 5%) but I want to improve, so I am going to buckle down next year and study a lot more. Freshman year I procrstinated a lot (ESPECIALLY with studying) so i am going to keep myself om track
