So I am an international student who applied to Michigan EA, but I forgot to send my January and August SAT scores before. I picked Michigan as my free score send on my October SAT and my scores arrived on 2nd of November, one day after the deadline. I submitted my application, toefl score, AP score, transcripts, teacher recs before the deadline but my SAT missed the deadline by one day. I haven’t received any emails from U of M till now and I’m worried. Did I just get deferred to RD?
You should have submitted an earlier score to make your application complete while pending for the October score. Have you set up your Wolverine Access account to check you application status? You will see if your application is qualified for EA or not.
Yea, but U of M hasn’t sent me an email with my ID number though
It takes up to a week after submitting CommonApp to receive the email from Umich. The adcom actually recommends submitting the application at least 2 weeks before deadline so you can track your application status before deadline.
So I got my Wolverine Access, but how do I check whether I was deferred to RD or eligible for EA, I can’t seem to find it anywhere
Check under application status to see if your application is “EA requested” or “qualified”.
Mine just updated to qualified.
My Wolverine Access still says Early Action Requested, I guess I missed the deadline…
Nvm, never mind! Thankfully, mine just updated to be qualified as well.
It seems they have received even more applications this year and took longer to update the portal.
