So I am having a bit of a panic attack because I misinterpreted Stanford's test score policy, and went ahead and sent absolutely everything (ACT, SAT, all SAT Subject tests) including the subject test scores that are really good (Chemistry:800, Math II: 750) and bad (A few in 500s, 600s). I scored in the high 30s on my ACT but in the 1800's on my SAT (Was really sick that day and was not very motivated since I already had my ACT scores known). Did I hurt or weaken my chances by including the bad SAT and sat subject scores along with my good ones and ACT? And would my chances have been better had I only sent my Physics and Math II scores?

i would say your chances would undoubtedly have been better if you hadn’t sent those scores; however, you should be more concerned about your SAT score - it’s borderline low for Stanford

Dear beta2561, Stanford policy is very clear:

“The ACT Plus Writing or the SAT (Critical Reading, Math and Writing) is required. Official scores from all test dates must be sent to Stanford directly from the ACT or the College Board (the reporting agency for the SAT) or both if the applicant has taken the ACT and the SAT. Score reports must arrive by the appropriate application deadline.”

For clarification purposes, please see page 3 of this application guide for freshmen which indicates that score choice is allowed for Subject Tests.

It’s a moot point for you @Beta2561, but I wanted to attach a link to the correct guidelines. The requirement to send all test scores does apply to the ACT and “regular” SAT, but NOT to the Subject Tests.
