Did my teacher mess up my rec. letter?

<p>So I know that on the teacher recs page for the Common App, teachers can either upload a letter or type in the boxes provided. And the page says to pick either/or.</p>

<p>I know that for the Additional Documents on the Common App, I know that if I uploaded a document, then I can no longer use the box underneath it.</p>

<p>However my teacher wrote in the box and uploaded the document. Is it even possible? Would he get penalized for it? Would Common App only send in either the box or the letter but not both?</p>

<p>I know how silly this question sounds, but I just wanted to make sure to ease me nerves. :)</p>

<p>i would think it is not possible to do both. If he has done both ANYWAY, when you look at the print preview, you see the typed bit along with the question and the uploaded bit at the end of the form in additional sheets, so its safe to presume everything he’s written will reach the colleges!
