Hello,

So during my fall/first semester at Cal my roommate(also best friend for 8 years) decided to try and break me and my gf of 3 years apart, she also goes to Berkeley. My grades declined heavily spring and fall. I just wasn't there anymore, my worth ethic became horrible, I was a social outcast and depressed all the time. After spring I was notified that I was on academic probation and failed to meet cumulative GPA but met term GPA. I have a total of 65 units, 34 of which are transfer units from AP. I met with a counselor and they said I have a good shot of getting my dismissal appeal granted. I just want to know if anyone has been granted an extra semester to bring their cumulative GPA up after failing to do so. My cousin had a friend that had 3 semesters to meet probation however he was in COE and I am in LS and I do not know her circumstances either. Any information regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated.
