Dartmouth notified me a couple weeks ago they did not have my high school transcript, so that very day I asked my guidance counselor to fax it to them, he said that they cannot fax transcript, so they mailed it. I called March 2 and they told me they had not received the transcript. Do you think the mail is just travelling slow? When I asked my regional rep, she said they hadn't begun looking over apps yet and to get the transcript in ASAP. I am sending another transcript today, March 3, just for safety. Do you have an advice in this situation?

I would fax it to them from a local ship it yourself place.
Make sure you get the correct fax # and person to send
it to, not just "admissions ". Then call that person to
make sure they got it. Nancy

the only potential problem I see with you faxing the transcript is that the college may not accept it because it is suppose to be the official transcript which comes directly from the school as colleges will not accept the student copy.

you need to push back to your GC as to why they cannot fax your transcript because there is no way they you attend a school that does not cotain a fax machine. If they cannot fax it have the school scan it in as a pdf file and e-mail it to the school. Have your GC contact your regional admissions person to let them know that your school does not have a fax (hard to believe) and they will come up with a viable way to get your grades to hanover.

its the wknd..get in a car, hand deliver it...thats the hardcore way to do it.. i suspect you'll get some kudo points for it too..haha. not to mention the assurance that its arrived...but yeah, i see you live in FL, so its quite a drive.
