My school district (located in San Diego of course) offers a "guaranteed" admission program into SDSU if one meets certain requirements such as maintaing a 3.0 gpa throughout all 4 years of high school, as well as completing the a-g requirements, and taking either the SAT or ACT. I recently found out I was not exempt from the math ept exam and I am worried this will hurt my chances of getting in. My counselor informed me I could take the elm test and if I passed I would have nothing to worry about or if I had a high enough goa they would accept me and let me take a summer class. I will have a 3.6 weighted gpa, over 400+ hours of community service, and a 1600/1700 on my SAT. I am also president of a club, a member of our schools yearbook, and I am taking rigorous classes my senior year instead of taking the easy way out like most seniors would. I also have been involved in sports and lots of clubs. Those of you who were accepted into SDSU, what were your grades/scores… and do you think I have anything to worry about?

Is your GPA your CSU weighted GPA?? If not, calculate as follows with this link: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
The Average GPA for in-coming Freshman 2014 was 3.76 and Average SAT score was 1750. You look like you are in good shape. You are in the immediate service area so you would get priority. It will depend upon your major but I think you have a good chance. Good Luck and keep up the good work.
My younger son (out of service area) was accepted with CSU GPA of 3.73 an ACT of 31 and SAT 1770 for Computer Science.

Thanks so much @Gumbymom !!!
