<p>I got into my second choice Marshall, but I’m not attending UCSD this fall.</p>
<p>yeah I sent them another e-mail today as well, I told them I’d be ok with either Muir, Marshall or Warren instead of just Warren, hopefully it improves my chances of a switch and I don’t really care what college I’m in as long as I don’t have to take a bunch of GE’s. I mean what was the point of IGETC if we have to do more GE crap when we get there?</p>
<p>@UCEric2010 Really? Aww Marshall was my 3rd. I actually like Warren because it’s usually where the engineers are at. I just checked the requirements for PofCs, and I just found out I can’t use the classes for the double major I was planning to take if I transfer to SD. Guess it’s back to the drawing board, haha.</p>
<p>What day did you get on the waitlist. I checked and I sent my first request on April 7th. I put Warren,Marshall and Muir all in my initial e-mail.</p>
<p>I like Warren for that reason too (lots of engineers), also all my friends are in Warren so any GE’s we do have to take it would have been cool to take classes with my friends.</p>

<p>I sent in a request. The more I was reading about Sixth College, the least appealing it was. So we’ll see, it doesn’t cost anything to try. I asked for Warren, Marshall or Muir and I think I wrote a good email lol.</p>

<p>Good Luck. Did you receive the automated response e-mail yet? It basically says that they make the changes on a one-to-one basis. Meaning, in order for you to get your request granted, there needs to be someone from one of those three colleges trying to transfer into sixth.</p>

<p>What did you guys write in your e-mails? Mine wasn’t too in depth, just a quick note saying that I would prefer one of those 3 colleges so I could graduate in a more timely fashion.</p>
<p>I just wrote that after carefully gathering information about all six colleges, I sincerely believed that Marshall, Warren or Muir would fit my academic and career goals better than Sixth College.</p>
<p>I got into Earl Warren which was my first. But then again who cares because I’m going to Cal. It’s possible the college has to do with major. I know a few engineering majors all were given Earl Warren, regardless of its priority in their application.</p>

<p>Throw that idea out the window, I put Warren first and I am an EE major and they put me in ERC (fifth choice).</p>
<p>@UCeric I put in the email that my reasons were academic. That I liked the academic freedom Warren and Marshall offered. Also, I mentioned that I was IGETC certified and that ERC doesn’t accept IGETC as fulfilling all lower-division GEs, and this fact would cause me at least an extra quarter to graduation.</p>
