Difference between majors??

I'm filling out the UC application right now and had a few questions regarding the majors I select.

For each campus (Irvine, LA, Berkeley, and SD) I'm putting Psychology as my number one choice. For my second choice, I've been putting sociology. On UCLA's list, I found Psychobiology as a major as well and after looking it up a bit, it seemed pretty interesting.

But I'm still a bit reluctant to put psychobiology as my alt. major for only LA because I don't completely understand the difference between it and regular psychology.

Can anyone explain the difference between the two? Especially what I'll be studying under each major. Also, if you can explain the pros and cons of the three majors (sociology, psychology, and psychobiology) that would be sooo helpful!

Thanks in advance!

For Letters and Sciences, you aren’t committed to majoring in what you put down on the application if you get in. Don’t worry about it at this point. For these departments you don’t actually declare until the end of sophomore year.
