Dilemma..Grade B for Major course??? NEED HELP!

<p>I am currently attending a very well-known California CC since fall 2008.
My intended major was Chemistry but I fell in love with Accounting, so I took Accounting this quarter and I really want to become an accountant.
I've been taking Bio, G Chem, Calculus, English, Economics, and other GEs and I received all A or A+, so my GPA used to be 4.0......... before receiving a B in Accounting this quarter.</p>

<p>I am so shocked (!!!) because I have been getting A/A- on all exams, but I received 80% on the final (30% of overall grade) and apparently I'm missing one pop quiz (which I cannot believe myself because I was absent only once). I received overall grade of 87%. I found out that if I did take the quiz, my overall grade is 90%, which is an A-.</p>

<p>I've already e-mailed the professor to discuss this problem, but it seems like he will not change the grade (the professor does not know me at all). Now I'm stuck with a B for my major course..</p>

<p>I intended to apply to UCB's HAAS and USC's Marshall, but now all my hopes are pretty much blown away and I am so frustrated. </p>

<p>Will there be ANY chance for me to HAAS and Marshall? What should I do now?</p>

<p>It’s just one b, I think you’re being frantic. I don’t think you need to worry this much if your overall GPA is > 3.85.</p>

<p>I have seen 3.2’s accepted to Marshall. I really wouldn’t worry.</p>

<p>lol relax you’ll be fine. one b means nothing, nobody cares if you have a 4.0 or a 3.93 or whatever you’ll end up with.</p>
