Dilemma: Study Computer Science at NYU or Polytech?

I have a dilemma here that im hoping i can figure out ASAP. I got accepted to both NYU and Polytechnic University in Brooklyn for Computer Science. While it is a no-brainer that NYU has the bigger, better, and greater reputation, I am uncertain of the quality of their Undergraduate Computer Science education.

Polytechnic University is a much smaller school with a lot lower standards and located in a shabby neigborhood but their computer science program is accredited by the abet while NYU's is not.

So my question to all of you is do i turn down an offer at NYU, where i got a very decent finaicial aid package btw(only about 4k in loans each year), and get what i assume is a better cs education? Or do i go to NYU although i am uncertain of the quality of their undergrad cs program?

I need some responses ASAP as the deadline to reply to both schools is May 1st!!! Thanks.

Although polytech specializes in the field.. you do NOT want to go there. The social life totally sucks! everyone hates the school.. I pass by it every week cause I take extra classes at city tech (cuny near polytech) and just looking outside of the building is so depressing.. Just go to NYU.

don't change your passion for glory..
if you are sure about what u wanna do, then why not go for it
i don't know much about polytech u., but you can have a good social life at small school pretty easily.
However, it is definitely true that NYU is a better school in general

I’m going through the same situation nowadays ! which program is better? poly vs nyu !

Go to NYU. Don’t go to Poly. What everyone is saying is true. I went there years ago and it was terrible. A lot of TAs that don’t speak English, no social scene AT ALL. Most kids live at home.
