<p>I applied to UMD for a spring 2011 transfer and have not yet heard back. I called the admissions office yesterday and they said that I would get my decision by 01/20, but I go back to my college on 01/17. Their decision is taking along time because I am a freshman and they had to review my final grades. Should I call again on Monday and ask for a decision? I've already emailed and called the admissions office. I just really need to know!</p>
<p>Register for classes and if you get accepted into UMD, simply drop your current courses and matriculate to UMD (if you’re allowed to do that). You’ll be a few days behind but you shouldn’t have a problem catching up.</p>

<p>I’m prepared to wait. I’ve registered for my classes and everything. I just don’t feel like going back to my current college (assuming that I will be admitted).</p>

<p>I’m applying as a second semester freshmen. I was admitted as a freshmen and chose not to attend. My hs gpa was a 3.7 and my first semester of college i got a 4.0</p>
