Alright guys, graduating HS this year with a 3.14GPA and 1580 Sat score. I plan on attending Kean University only because I was dumb enough to not apply to Rutgers NEW BRUNSWICK with the fear of not getting accepted(YEAH STUPID I KNOW) although many of my friends got accepted with similar grades. I was wondering if it's possible to transfer straight after my first semester at Kean. How would it work? Would they take strictly my HS grades or a combination of HS and college? I also was thinking to wait until I finish the year off @Kean and then transfer over for fall of 2013. Any help is appreciated!

If you’re applying for spring, the decision will be made before you have your first semester completed. So they will see final HS grades and at most an unofficial progress report from fall semester at Kean.

I’m not familiar with Rutgers, so be sure to check their website to be sure they accept transfers from sp of fr year (some colleges do not) and if there are any courses they require you to take. If you’re a NJ resident, you might check to see if it’s easier to transfer as a NJ CC student.
