So i have sort of a dilemma at hand right now. In a little while, i'll be doing starting a sport and that will take up all my extra free time. the problem is, i want to do OTHER EC's besides my sport. i would do it, but sports takes up all my time and i have no time to do anything else. i'm thinkking about quiting the sport and just joining other EC's. what do u think? you see, sports and EC's run at the same time, so i have to pick one or the other. Is there anyway around this so i can do both, instead of choosing one over the other. It seems that when i do a sport, thats the only thing i CAN do and i have no time to do other things that I like to do.

But keep in mind that i love sports, i just wanna get more involved. if there was a way to do both sports and EC's, that would be awesome. someone gimme something i can do to sort out this problem. for those of you who can do this, how do u do it?

Can't you play the sport on a club team or something? Like outside of school?
If not, talk with your coach maybe and see if you can miss a little of like one practice a week or whatever.

ps- some schools have a recess period for club meetings etc., or the clubs meet at lunch, you can see if some of the ecs you want to do meet at other times, if not, this is what is

the wrestling clubs wouldnt be as great as school team. i agree, they wont let u miss any practices, and they are pretty serious. so i guess i have to pick one right?

I was thinking about that issue as well, but my main EC is research and theoretical part can be done at home after practice (I'm home during non-match days at 5:00) and for experimental part it's solvable, since it's not everyday. I'm also working from home (programmer).
So, I don't think you'll be able to get any clubs during season (which is also just a couple of monthes at my school) but you can certainly try finding some other ECs after wrestling practices. Your pick ;-)
