I have a really big problem. OK there is a conflict in my schedule..I want to take both AP Spanish Lang and AP Calc..AB..but i'm not able to take both..therefore my counselor enrolled me in Calc. I was wondering if I really need to take calc if i plan on majoring in american gov, International Relations,PoliSci, or history?? I know a lot of ppl will say take calc because I will be rusty during my freshman and it might look kinda awkward since i have 3 yrs of math(alg1, geom, Pre-Calc(Honors) ) and 5 yrs of spanish(4 yrs in hs)..but i'm way better @ spanish and i think it would help me if i plan on taking International Relations. Any opinions would be great...i need to make a decision before the school year really kicks off. Oh and i plan to apply to UC/Privates(USC, northwestern..etc)...so that might be a factor as well. Ok any help would be GREATLY!!!! appreciated..thank you!

Bump.i REALLY would appreciate some opinions on this!!! Thanks

i would go with AP Calc - 4 years of math is required for most schools isnt it? plus you could self-study Spanish. ORR can you take AP Stats?

THanks for the reply tawny...i would take AP stats if it was offered @ my school!!..ya my school sucks

well think of it this way. If i finish calc then i may never have to take math again in college and focus on my IR stuff.

That also means that i have to pass the AP test...which i'm almost %100 sure that i wont...due to my teacher...and my weakness in mathematics
