Dimensions is happening now

My son called to say he will have a busy weekend while he has an accepted student under his wing this weekend. Jim Yong Kim made his first official visit to the campus since he was formally announced as the 17th president. Hopefully, all of you admitted students are enjoying your time in Hanover. It also helps that it is suppose to be in the 70's in Hanover today.

we dropped our son off last night (we live 2 hours away). The campus looked very lively and festive-It’s spring! there were all kinds of things to do.

Wonder what the Jaclo O will do this year. Will be checking Youtube!

Dare we ask who Jaclo O is and what he or she has done in the past??

the humor magazine

I hope everyone had a great time at dimensions. Wishing you all safe travel (and sleep) back home.

I’m at Dimensions, or I should say I’m hanging around the town and school while my daughter does Dimensions. I haven’t seen much of her, but I did bump into her on the streets of Hanover yesterday evening with some of her new friends (It’s a tiny enough town that it’s only a matter of time before you meet up with someone you know even if like me you know only one other person in town), and she said she is having a wonderful time.

It’s cloudy this morning (Saturday), but the weather has been great - sunny and warm.

^^^

Just think. . . if your daughter accepts Dartmouth you will have many more trips back to Hanover. A year from right now you will be planning to go back for First Year Family weekend which for us is next weekend. I bet the Hanover Inn is already booked for next year. I suggest booking a room as soon as you know that your daughter has accepted. We are staying in Norwich which is about a 30 minute walk (1.6 miles) to the campus. No sense driving into Hanover if you do not have to.

coureur,

I hope that you have the opportunity to have breakfast at Lou’s this morning (I know that it is probably crowded).

So is Jack-O a fun group to be in, or is it way off mainstream?

If you like to write or perform comedy/pranks, then it will be a fun group for you.

I’m sure they will have a booth at any student activities fair (where you can learn even more about it.)

So have all you admitted students decided that Dartmouth is the place to be??

^^One has. Dimensions did the trick. Dartmouth it is. I just dropped $175 at the Co-op for Dartmouth gear for my daughter (and some for the rest of the family too).

I asked what it was that she liked about Dartmouth over Rice, the other contender, and she said said the place seemed almost perfect to her. The people felt like “her people.”

We tried to eat breakfast at Lou’s but it was too crowded. We didn’t have enough time to wait out that line.

Welcome to the Dartmouth family, Coureur!! Your daughter won’t have a moment’s regret!!

My son’s prospie left this morning with a big grin and the statement “See you in September”! I heard that the everyone was on their best behavior.

…it was really, really good. I see now why people say Dimensions is brainwashing… but in a good way. Everyone was so enthusiastic about the school and were extremely nice to us prospies. The school spirit there is unbelievable. I had incredible fun. If Williams Previews doesn’t live up to Dimensions (and if Dmouth decides to give me a little more money, please oh please), I know where I’ll be going next year… :)

Echoing Very Happy.
Welcome to the dartmouth family Courer & LMNOP. Yes, your daughter will definitely find her people. May she have an amazing 4 years in Hanover
