<p>I was looking for a thread I saw some time ago about alternative eating places in adn around West Point. </p>
<p>Provisions restaurant near the hardware store and townhall is apparently fairly new, and is very good. </p>
<p>Nice, and variety but not overly expensive</p>
<p>Now, I understand that you must eat steak on thursdays, but when you decide to get something else for dinner, where do cadets find the time to leave campus, and with what money are they eating with? Do they get military discounts?</p>

No need to leave campus, cadets can order in - many restaurants in Highlands Falls deliver. Alternatively you can buy food in Grant Hall. If that is your choice, you pay for it . Some parents put money in cadet accounts at local restaurants.</p>

<p>also we get paid....not nearly enough though, but enough to eat out if there is nothing good in the chow hall. </p>
<p>and I second the fact that the service and schades is absolutely TERRIBLE, they have somewhat of a corner on the market and they know it. overpriced too...</p>
