District house dining establishments are not open. There is nothing on GW website explaining the delay (they were supposed to open August 27) or when they will open. I was there yesterday and the retail spaces were quite unfinished. Given that J street is also closed, I am guessing the other dining options in foggy bottom will get quite busy once everyone is on campus on Saturday.
This is the first I’ve heard of this issue, so I apologize for not having more info. If true, you’re right in that things will be a little busier than normal this weekend. Thankfully, there are quite a few events that will spread everyone out (plus, people seldom eat at the exact same time, so hopefully it balances out). If you want a date for completion you should call GW Housing at 202-994-2552. They should be able to give you more info. And if you don’t mind, please post what you find in here so others can benefit.
Thanks @NHuffer. Do you live in foggy bottom? I also saw the new dining setup at Pelham Commons on the Vern and it looked so much better than before. My daughter is on the Vern so I don’t plan to do any follow up on this, but if she was on foggy bottom I would have.

There’s a new dining setup at West Hall? I saw it last year and it looked great, so I’m sure your daughter will love it. I lived on the Vern back before West Hall and “new” setup is so much better!
