Direct admitted to business school, change major to data science in College of Letters & Science?

My son was admitted to business school at UW Madison. Now he wants to change major to data science in College of Letters & Science. Is it doable? I was told that it is easier to change major in private schools . Not sure how it works at UW.

Ask admissions. Call your counselor. Probably not a big deal going from b school to A&S.

Email admissions. There is a change of major request form to complete. If space available and requirements for acceptance met, should be easy to process. Takes a few weeks though.

Ya, you should have no problem. I am currently accepted in L and S on waitlist for business, and I’m sure there’s other people like me for you to switch with, so should be easy.
