Dis-Oriented

My daughter will be attending the abbreviated orientation right before the fall semester. Can she register for classes before that time and, if so how do you suggest she selects her courses. She is in a FIG so her classes are predetermined to some extent.

She can’t register until she sees an advisor at orientation. However, she isn’t guaranteed the FIG until she registers for classes IIRC, so it may be full by the time she gets to register unless it’s one of the Residential FIGS where spots are reserved for kids who have signed up.

She is in a res fig. Are the specific times of the classes reserved for the fig posted anywhere so that she can create a proposed schedule?

Can you get advised without going to orientation? Like, could you go see an advisor next week and get advised for classes?

No you have to go to orientation to register.

Teebill, I’d assume they are and that you could look it up online, but I don’t know specifically how to.
