<p>I'm a first year student at UW-Madison, so I know little to nothing about how the financial aid going to work. I'm asking those who have done this before. Anyway, I'm taking some federal loans. When they disburse the loans to me, how am I going to receive it? I mean are they going to transfer money to my bank account? my wiscard account? Do I get to choose where they're going to transfer it to? I have been looking about this for hours, but I still don't know. Thanks!</p>
<p>Call the financial aid office at 608-262-3060 and one of the helpful people can explain it to you. I believe it is credited into your tuition account and then if you sign up for the electronic refund option, the excess goes into the bank account of your own choosing.</p>
