I am a high achieving sophomore in high school with straight A's and many recognitions for my acheivments in education. I was caught cheating on a quiz and will be receiving an N in conduct for the grading period. I am actually moving very soon to another high school? Will this infraction follow me to the other high school. And will this affect my college admission process?

I know it was very stupid of me..but I know after this, I'm never going to think about cheating. This has gotten me into so much troublem .

Please don't be harsh, I just need an honest answer. And if someone could please answer ASAP..I'm really freaking out :(

The Common App asks the following question:

(If anyone’s wondering, this does not include detentions, but it seems to include pretty much everything else.)

If you answer “yes,” they ask for an explanation of what happened. If it shows up on your transcript (you have to submit transcripts from all high schools attended), they’ll see it then too.

Your counselor will also be asked about disciplinary infractions, even if you change schools. Most colleges don’t use the Common App, and I’m not sure about them.

I don’t quite understand what the “N in conduct” means, though, so I think you should ask your guidance counselor.
