<p>If you have a suspension on record, you and your counselor are usually asked to elaborate on the circumstances. If it’s “I was going through a lot of stuff, and it just stressed me to the breaking point”, it won’t have much of an effect. If it’s “I beat up this SOB cause he was lookin at me funny”, that might be more significant.</p>
