Discovery Day, Anyone Going?

I haven't decided if I'm going to go yet but I'm curious about it. They haven't put up the agenda yet, and even sadly I'll admit UCR isn't my first choice ( Mainly because its 20 mins away from my house and I don't want to see half of my graduating class xD ) I toured the campus before 10th grade and I didn't really feel like it was a good fit but then again I was 15 so... Anyways is anyone going? Did anyone go last year? If you attend UCR is it a good experience?

I applied to UCR too hoping that they’d offer me a scholarship but no, nothing. Kind of disheartening, right? I’ve never been to the campus but I’m planning on skipping the Discovery Day

I didn’t get a scholarship either and I was pretty bummed about that as well.

We’re skipping it too. We toured the campus last summer, spoke to faculty and counselors, so I don’t know what else they can add.

regarding scholarships, not sure what your financial status is, but there is pretty much a consensus among ucr students that one of the reasons besides being a great school! (seriously dont listen to dumb stereotypes, after white the university has really become a great place) but a lot of people have said that they offered the most financial aid (for myself being a transfer student… it wouldve cost me the same amount living off campus to go to csula as it does to attend ucr and live on campus, so obviously i picked ucr)

That’s good to know my financial aid package will definitely be a major factor in determining my choice :)
