I'm taking Rhetoric 20 and it's a Tuesday/Thursday Lecture class. I have a lab on Mondays. Now, on the first day of classes, do I go to the lab even though I haven't had the lecture class yet?

Don't miss your first discussion session even if it is held before the first lecture because you may be dropped otherwise.

Obv not my personal experience, but maybe this helps? Worse that could happen is to find an empty classroom...

~Also, I just received an e-mail from my GSI for History 5 and he said to attend the sections the first week (since apparently there is homework the first week that must be started...).

Geminihop: Thanks for the advice...I probably should freshen up on my Resource Guide.

I'm deprived of any e-mails from my GSI or intructor.

No prob, eiffel. The Resource Guide was pretty helpful...I got bored a few weeks ago and looked through it.

Hard to believe we're talking about classes that start in 2 weeks! :D

hey gemini I'm in the same history 5 class as you. did you look at the syllabus? were the dates next to the readings the due dates or assigned dates? I'm guessing they were the due dates, but then we've got work before class even starts...

yeah, I looked at the syllabus today...got a little bummed to see the work we will be doing...but kind of excited for it all to be real :)

nbanyk, have you figured how you are going to get the books yet? Because I couldn't figure out the links for the "online reader", and it looks like some of the assignments are out of the main text book. At least my section isn't monday...

well go to the courses tab at the top, click on the class, click on course documents and you can a get a couple of the books assigned (like the dickens and marx). I'm not sure where we get the documents from. I'm going to barnes and noble to see if they have any of the other books and if not, I guess I'm just going to have to get them when I get to berkeley (the textbook too). hopefully it won't be too hard to find.
