Discussion: How "Truthful Do You Think People are on Here?

How truthful do you think people are on the forum with respect to stats and such?

I personally think people exagerate their stats and their SAT scores.

Not to sound like a goody-goody, but I have never altered my stats, because I trully want to know what other people think. However, those with near perfect SAT, SATIIs, ACTs and GPAs, that show up on a near regular basis (one must remember how rare such cases are) are probably bumped up a couple of notches.

Just a mans opinion.

iv yet to see someone put over a 2400 sat score so i think its pretty truthful

what would honestly be the point? my peni5 really is 15 inches and im extremely happy with my 2400 SAT scores and the 3:97 mile i ran at the olympic training center. alright you got me. it was 3:98. my bad, that ones on me.

^Damn, bro. 15 inches is straight up pathetic. Mine’s 16. Step your game up, son.

For real though, I’ve never lied about anything on here, and I don’t see why people would. It’s not like chicks are gonna go “Omg, you have a 2380. I so want to go out with you!” ;)

Hey now, 2380 and 16 inches.. doesn’t sound too bad to me ;)

and remember there are tons of smart kids in teh US even though US is a dumb country in general. I dont know what you mean by exaggerated stats but some schools weight their GPAs like mad and others dont. yours could be one of those that doesn’t. for the SAT scores, plenty of people get 2300+, there was a kid who got a 2340 and his parents wanted him to retake for a 2400

Oooh. You have a 2380? ;)

I doubt many kids exaggerate their stats on an anonymous public forum… what’s the point?

pain heals, chicks dig scars, SAT scores last forever..

Whoa now, girls dig the 2400. I would lie about it too

Nah, I don’t have a 2380. Just felt like using that number at the moment. :)

Edit: ^Hey did you know that chicks dig 2390 more than 2400? It’s been scientifically proven. Perfection isn’t as attractive as near-perfection.

Still, I like your style..

Edit: You get it. The whole rebel without a cause. “Pshh. I don’t need those ten points.” swoon (James Dean as well)

Probably. THat’s why i lie. I go up to girls at the mall. the perfect pick up lines go like “Hey babe, got a 35 ACT and a 2390 SAT…wanna date?” Works like a charm, im telling you. It’s almost as important as video game skills

Damn, bro. I thought I was the only one that used that pick-up line.

Daiea, thank you. Of course I get it. If you want to learn more of my Don Giovanni-ness, go look up my book Girls for Dummies. It should be on Amazon. :)

I’ll keep that in mind.

What? Who does that… seriously

Idk about truthful. Freakishly concerned uhhhh YES. Stats could be untruthful because if you think about it, if you have a 2200+ sat 3.9+ gpa you have a good chance of getting in why would you need to post. Everytime I see a chance thread with thoes stats I feel like never coming on CC forever. I think some are a bunch of bs. Some are prob legit but have way too much pressure put on them by parents teachers or themselves.

Who really cares if a person is truthful on CC though? Do you personally know this person? If they are lying, it’s not going to help them in the long run anyway. All we should care about are ourselves and if honesty doesn’t matter to you, then go ahead, lie. You’ll probably have problems in life.

i think most people here are honest, but i know for a fact that people do sometimes exaggerate their scores (oh well, though)…
