Distance / Middle Distance Track Recruiting

I would be interested in recruited athletes' recent experiences, especially for 800 / 1600 / 3200m male runners to Ivy's, LACs (NESCAC, etc) and strong academic DI and DIIIs (Georgetown, JHU, etc).

I've read the recruiting guidelines, but there seem to be a lot of kids, for example, that don't have sub 4:15 1600 PRs that have been recruited by top 25 NCAA DI Track programs.

I'd love to know what schools you were recruited by and what the range of junior year PRs the coaches were looking for. Or any other color / guidance for that matter.

I'm sure other folks are interested, too...

I’d like to see some of the actual results, too.

The recruiting guidelines, like 4:15 for a 1600, are very general. Last year, for example there were about 50 HS juniors in the US who were sub 4:15, in 2010 there were only about 30 - so there is a big ‘supply and demand’ factor in any given year.
