Distance Relationship

How do you guys or girls deal with having your partner off at another college, or in my case in college in general. My girlfriend is a year older and I recently helped her move in to her new school. Her school is about an 1 hr 20 min north of me, so I mean it's not terrible. But how do you guys handle this situation. Another thing that's bugging me is looking for my school. I really love where she goes to school, it's my ideal school, but I'm not to sure I'd want to go to school there just because i dont want it to seem like im going there for her. any tips or opinions would be great.

If it's your ideal school, then go for it. There's no problem with that. Appearances should have little to no weight on your decision.

As for maintaining the relationship, my boyfriend and I schedule an hour a day to talk. Usually before we go to bed. He also comes up to visit every other weekend. An hour and 20min isn't that much time for travelling. We were 3.5 hours away from each other, so you might even be able to pull off every weekend.

Right now, my boyfriend is half way across the world for half a year. And right now we make do with emails and occasional IM'ing/webcamming (usually every other day). The best way to go about it either way is to move on and live your life.
