Tulane is one of several schools that host a fly-in program, which will reimburse travel expenses. The application opens up in July and is usually DUE mid-August. An essay and teacher/counselor recommendation is required. Unfortunately, many people do not know about this program until they really start applying in September and by then it’s too late. Our high school counselor actually didn’t know about fly-in programs until I told them about it. You do not necessarily have to be a person of color. Their definition of diversity is “first generation and/or underrepresented cultural or socioeconomic backgrounds”.
