Do colleges look at third quarter grades senior year?

I have looked around on almost every forum I can to try and figure out an answer to my situation. My grade has not come in yet, but I am assuming that I may get a D+ in AP Calculus this quarter. The University of California requirement states that you need a 3.0 unweighted GPA for the senior year semesters, but I am unable to figure out if it applies to quarter grades.

I can definitely get my Calc grade up to a C by the end of this school year, and my school uses a semester system. However, does anyone have experience with a UC or other colleges specifically checking the third quarter senior year grade? I know they check first semester, and that was fine grade-wise, but this third quarter has been rough on me.

One more note is that I had a 4.2 weighted GPA last semester and this would be my only D. The rest of my classes are A’s except for a B in AP Physics.

Thanks for any help.

They will ask for final grades. Acceptances can be rescinded for poor grades. But if your school gives semester grades, and you get it back up to a C, I imagine it will be okay. Why not call the admissions office to ask?

It does not. If it applied to quarters, they would say so. As noted above, your school will send in a final transcript. Most schools only include semester grades on a transcript, so as long as you get your grade up, the college will not even see (most likely) the quarter grade.
