Do colleges look at your attendance information?

My school has the stupidest attendance policy. After an "unexcused absence" or an "unexcused tardy," you have two days to clear it or it goes on your record. Except they don't notify you about this stuff in person, they post it on an academic portal site and they assume you see it within two days. Not to mention teachers don't even tell you what they marked you down as when you walk into class.

So now I have three unexcused absences and tardies on my record. Will this hurt my chances of getting in? I'm gonna be super careful about this stuff from now on but I'm just curious.

You’re fine. You would need be caught cheating or to commit an actual crime, such as theft, for colleges to care. Unless absences and tardies lower your grade, it doesn’t matter at all.
