I’ve never seen an ED/EA likely letter.
Normally just for RD applicants.
Recruited athletes get likely letters for EA/ED at many colleges. For everyone else (I’m sure there might be a “one off” exception, but it’s unlikely), everyone else applying EA/ED needs to wait the extra few weeks for the decision.

What would be the point of sending a likely letter for ED? They already know you would be attending if admitted. During the RD round there is chance you maybe going to another school, so a likely letter is to get an applicant to be more interested in the school.
