Do colleges (spec. Ivies) count plus or minus grades?

Do they show up on transcript; are they accumilated in GPA?

Are you talking about your high school grades?

Your school will send the transcript with whatever grades you’ve gotten.
That’s what they’ll see.

More important than GPA is the actual transcript; that’s what they’ll scrutinize, whether it has +s or -s or not.

They won’t feel a need to recalculate or anything, except in very rare cases.

As for how they count in your high school GPA, that’s determined by the school, but often an A is 4.0, A- is 3.7, B+ is 3.3, B is 3.0 or an A is 95 A- 92 B+ 89 or something like that.

If you were asking about grading policies at colleges, it varies from college to college, even within the Ivies. I know Cornell has +s and -s.

At my highschool; - and + don’t count; but they show up on the transcript anyways; but they are not calculated into the GPA, so if someone got all As and two A-, they would still have a 4.0

and thanks for the answer
