Do colleges view community college classes = AP's ?

Do colleges view community college classes in the same light as AP's in terms of rigor? I'm wondering because i'm planning on taking another spanish class in a local community college in lieu of AP bio since i like spanish but i still want more schedule to be rigorous.

Not exactly, because AP is more standardized. But you could take the Spanish class and then the AP Spanish test.

I’ve already taken the ap spanish exam. I want to take the next step forward and take a continuation class

I don’t think the two are fully comparable, but if you’ve exhausted your high school curriculum (in your case Spanish) then colleges like to see that you took initiative and took classes on your own, doing things that are above the high school level.

Also it depends on the nature of the class. If you’re clearly seeking out challenging college classes that your high school does not offer, like organic chem or something, that’s seen in a positive light.

College courses that do not seem as rigorous are viewed upon as less than an AP.
