Do different SAT Test Months lead to different scores?

I understand that your sat score is determined by how many right and wrong, but when they make a percentile, for the national average does this change your score? I took the SAT in November and got a 1610, I studied and will take it in December now, but even if I know more skills will the people who take the test with me influence my score? Alot of Smart people are taking it in december, and will this somehow impact my score?

Thanks.

The score should not be impacted, but the percentile would be for sure. That’s why when you look at the different sections and SAT subject scores, some tests have 95th percentile for 800, and a few have 99th percentile for 780.

Most schools look at scores and not percentiles for the SAT, but would consider percentiles for the subject tests.

I’m not completely sure what you mean, but the SAT percentiles do not change for the entirety of the school year. The percentiles on your score report for this school year are based on the last scores from the seniors in the class of 2013. In other words, a math score of 600 will be the 75th percentile for any SAT you take from October to June.

Also, others’ scores will not affect your score. A lot of smart people taking the test in December will not reduce your score, if that is what you are worried about.
