Do Foreign Language classes look good to colleges?

Is taking two different languages in highschool a good idea? I took Spanish 1 and 2 in middle school, and this is how the foreign language part of my schedule looks: Freshman: Honors Spanish 3 Sophomore: AP Spanish 4 Junior: AP Spanish 5 (1 open elective) Senior: (2 open electives) Should I take up another language for junior and senior year? Or should I take classes like debate or marketing for example? Besides Spanish, my school offers: ASL (American Sign Language), German, and French. Which would be the most beneficial?

It depend on what you want to major in. If you’re gonna major in physics it wouldn’t really matter, but if you want to major in business or linguistics or something of that nature it could really make an impact.
Which language you take also depends on where you live.
For example, if you live in Texas, Spanish and maybe German would make sense, if you live in Louisiana then Spanish and French

Yes, absolutely!

You better have a sufficiently hard class to replace it if you’re not taking foreign language.

It is going to depend on your intended major. For instance, International Relation would love it.

It also depends on your career goals. If you plan to attend grad school, you’ll need a pretty high proficiency in at least one and typically two languages. Each subject has its own preferences.
For international business, one language to AP level and one language to Intermediate level would look good.
You can also take them for “fun”. Since they’re considered “core courses” they’d be considered more rigorous than, say, marketing or another elective. However you could take an additional science, an additional social science, an additional English/Humanities class.
