Do Freshman Grades Count?

I have been hearing different messages from everyone. “Yes freshman grades count in your GPA.” “No, the colleges don’t look at your Freshman scores.”

Does it vary from school to school?

It does vary....what schools are you looking at???

Reed, Bryn Mawr, Boston U, UC Santa Cruz, Occidental

If I go to the college's website, will they tell me? I think I read everything I could of the first three schools I mentioned but I didn't see anything about freshman grades.

There was a thread a couple of days ago on the same topic this link shoud work

Even if the school doesn't consider, it factors into overall class rank and other things, and difficulty of curriculum is part of all this. In addition, it shows the effort one put in during freshman year. Are the freshman year grades make or break? no, probably not. They might do a little, though.
