a lot of people are telling me that Freshman year grades don't count in a lot of college admissions... is that true? because I screwed up really badly in my freshman year... also if it is, what schools don't count freshman year grades?

i know the uc's and umich dont...cant speak for any other colleges though...

i don't necessarily think colleges look at it. of course they primarily look at your junior grades, but i don't think they'll go in depth with your freshman grades. though, it's still encouraged to try hard and do your best.

well, they are right in a way. the fact is 99% the freshman grades set the pace and tone of the years to come, so slack off starting Freshman, ur could be in a pile of deep ...... manure :D

Freshman grades are basically ways for the colleges to see your progress.

If you get a 1.5/2.0 freshman year and are able to pull it up to a 3.5, colleges will be impressesd, and that will help

If you get a 4.0 freshman year and it drops to a 3.0, colleges will see you are slacking off and penalize you.

well a 1.5 will make them think twice... they dont want unpredictability u know...
