do guys like nerdy/smart girls?

For some reason this reminds me about the math competition in the Mean Girls movie. xD

Well, their facial structures probably make them attractive, like Keira kNightley for example. Sure, she has really bad skin, but her features are naturally beautiful.

Let's just say even with tons of make-up on--which sometimes looks worse than little make-up, an average woman can't look nearly as beautiful as her, in my opinion.

Make-up can't hide a wonky nose, nor fix funky eyes, nor fix mouse ears.

But make-up can obscure some of those things by emphsizing things that are attractive about a girl. Every girl has at least onet hing that makes her hot, whther they be eyes, nose, mouth, or soemthing otherwise.

It's true that makeup cant make us all look like divas..but in many cases it is like WHOA ARE YOU SURE YOU"RE THE SAME PERSON?!?

looks schmooks
me lazy : 3

I loooooooooove smart girls. I fear that the main reason why I'm attracted to my current crush is because she just got into Harvard.

Hahaha, theoneo, that's effing awesome.

If I had to pick a smart girl or a hot girl I would probably go for the smart girl as long as she is not terrible looking.

claps hands

This one girl in my math class was the only person to get a higher marking period average than me. That definitely caught my attention (though I'd had my eye on her before).

(She's actually one of my best friend's sisters :P)

(And he knows)

(And he can't do anything about it cause he had a crush on my sister too)

you two should just trade sisters.

CAn you imagine the problems at family reunions and thanksgiving if that happened? Wow, it would be crazy.

I think that attractiveness comes with intelligence. It just has to be the right type of intelligence. I would never date a girl who knows she's intelligent and feels hat she constantly has something to prove to me and talks in very long, pretentious sentences and stuff. I think it's best when a girl is intelligent, but has a dorky side and doesn't take herself too seriously. But about the whole "feeling threatened" thing, I personally wouldn't feel that way. Some guys, including myself, don't like being the "dominant" person... I suppose I'm too lazy...

Heh, since I'm asian and none of the white girls at my school even look at me that way, I'm forced to like asian girls. The majority of asian girls at my school are really smart, but aren't very pretty. It sucks.

Heh, I'm sure that if they tried to put on some make-up and acted more like white girls, then you would be more attracted to them.

I actually went against the grain and fell for this one gorgous white girl though...
*sigh

Ouch regarding the comment about asian girls being ugly...(I'm 3/4 Asian/1/4 Cauc.)

I think it's the environment we are raised in though. I grew up in a state with mostly white people, and my high school was 90% white, so I prefer white guys (and now I go to Berkeley, so you see the problem there). All of my boyfriends, including my current one, have been white. I just wish I didn't have preferences, but I can't change them; it'd make dating so much easier here.

Heh, I'm Indian and go to an insanely diverse school...so I seriously don't think I have strong preferences. I'm attracted to girls from many different races

I'm smart and rather ugly but I've got the best boyfriend ever. There's hope for all of you out there who aren't Harvard-bound supermodels. :)

Delicatess, I'm in the same boat (well, except for the Berkeley part).

just about any girl can be reasonably attractive if she puts some time into her appearance. personally, i make myself cute as an extension of being a good student - i'm a perfectionist, so why should i be valedictorian yet allow myself to look shabby?
i've only ever dated one guy who didn't think it was awesome that i was smart, and most of my boyfriends haven't been geeks (in my experience, geeky guys don't date just because they're too shy to really go after girls). the guys i hang out with are more likely to end up on prom court than at harvard, but i can still be geeky around them... i mean, my boyfriend got me a laptop cooling tray for xmas lol, he can't be trying to suppress my inner geek too much!
