In general, no. This is largely due to the fact that most nerdy/smart girls have interests I don't like, and they don't lead interesting/fun lives. I'm sure they're nice, but if we have nothing to talk about I don't care. Also; most nerdy/smart girls don't like me for my reputation/some things I do. Then again, I don't do particularly well with any ladies, so I don't know.

What do you consider an interesting/fun life?

I think the typical blonde bimbo leads a very dull life. Parties at night at some other bimbo's house... then shopping in the daytime. Or sleeping.

But usually these things that are of not much substance.

I'm a nerdy girl, and I can't say my life isn't interesting. I find that nerdy girls have more varied interests. For example, every month or so, I'm out of town, whether doing a beach-hop around the world, hiking through the jungles of eastern Asia, living the life in Europe, racing greyhounds in Mexico, watching acrobats in Las Vegas... because I have a genuine and knowledgeable interest in the world, and World History excites me.

I consider that fun.

I consider partying each night at the same people's homes very, very boring. A nerdy girl parties by going to to the St. Patrick's Day Festival in Dublin on a whim. Instead of shopping for the hoochiest clothing possible at Hollister, we're debating over the aesthetics of the new Ghost line or the new Chanel line. I think most nerdy girls are classier out of the classroom than "normal" girls.

But then again, maybe my friends and I are exceptions.

haha, i have to say, way to be a RICH nerdy girl... i would LOVE to do those kind of things, and i'm working hard in school so someday i'll be able to, but don't knock just going over the other people's houses for entertainment. we can't all afford to fly to Dublin on a whim!

There's a huge difference between nerdy/smart and bimbos.

For example, I know a girl who's going to a great school next year, she does a ton of stuff related to school, and then she spends entire weekends studying for a test. She literally does 4-5 hours of work a night whereas I do maybe an hour, and as a result, she has virtually nothing to talk about, except worrying about the next test.

What you do sounds like fun, but I don't know a single kid that has the money to do all of that.

I never said I liked bimbos, but there's a huge middle ground between people who can barely spell their own names and people who just do nerdy crap.

Edit: Reading your post in the nerdy/geeky guys thread, I've noticed two things. For starters, you think everyone has as much money as you. They don't. You also seem to see nothing outside of nerdy people except for the people you see on MTV. Just because someone's not a nerd doesn't mean they're some trend-zombie who parties every night.

And I'm not rich in the American perspective. I just spend all my money on my interests. It doesn't take a lot of money to travel when you're nerdy enough to figure out how to have a good time without blowing a lot of money. My parents are NAIL TECHNICIANS; how rich can I get?

I don't watch MTV. I don't watch TV in general, except for House maybe once a month and Project Runway. AND THAT'S IT.

I'm just comparing the two extremes. The nerds and trend-zombies. Frankly, I find the middle ground equally as dull as trend-zombies.

Alcohol loosens the tongue. Then philosophy can be even more widened, so I totally agree.

Traveling doesn't have to expensive. The most expensive part of my trips are plane tickets. Sometimes I take trains. You just have to reseach where you're going and set a budget. Think outside the box. For example, in Asia, we didn't rent a hotel. We simply found a hut that we stayed it, free of charge. It's much more fun when you try to assimilate.

It helps to have connections (moreso with ordinary natives of the country as opposed to bigwigs).

But, I have to admit, even though I'm not rich, the friends I go with are. I guess the people that come with you make a difference in the kind of fun you have?

Wow, effulgent. I'm a little offended by your earlier comments.

I am a smart girl, but I love to shop and so do my friends. And we attend parties at the same people's houses, but we also do other things. (And, it's not the house that makes the parties fun, it's the discussions and the activities at the party).

But maybe the fact that I wouldn't fly out to Dublin to attend a St. Patrick's Day Festival over shopping in Paris (not for the hoochiest clothing) makes me just a smart girl and not a nerdy girl.

And, in saying that I am not nerdy, I believe that I am classier than a lot of nerdy girls in and out of the classroom...

Sorry, hotpiece. I have an innate gift of angering someone with poorly chosen words. And I was generalizing, which leaves a lot of room for dispute.

I really, really blur the lines between nerdy/smart.

And anyway, that's pertaining to myself/my school.

megalomaniac, House is the greatest thing on TV. I hate watching television, despite the fact that I love television productions more than anything on this planet.

LOL. That is amazing! Well, as a straight guy, I would say girls with personality and beauty are the best. Intelligence is always a bonus, but super brainy is not required. I sometimes feel that being really nerdy lends a girl to being antisocial (usually not always) so it would disqualify her anyways. What's more important is being able to have a conversation about anything - literally. Politics, music, history, English literature, and the world...it runs the gamut. The only thing I ask for potential dates is 1) attractiveness 2) a fun, vibrant personality 3) moderate intelligence.

I'll be honest and say that #1 must be there. It must, there's no way around it. Guys are attracted to certain girls because of certain...features. ;) You don't have to be a supermodel, but taking care of yourself and looking good is essential. Girls expect it out of guys, so the same should be true for girls. Personality and intelligence, as I said above, go hand in hand. The girls with great personality aren't usually super dumb. So there you have it ladies...the three necessary parts of a girl (beauty, personality, intelligence) that attract guys. Hope it helps!

I think I'd be into a moderately cute (not necess. Abercrombie model) but really intelligent, witty, sweet, driven person with varied interests, like sports and movies and quantum mechanics lol. And I HATE arrogant guys. It works both ways. The smart guys I hang out with look for the same qualities in girls. My mom always says be yourself. There's someone out there for everyone.

if the guys is smart and the girl is too then i think it can kinda work out...and depends on what kind of smart....is she fix-a-car smart, burp-the-periodic-table-smart, is she a bookie or is she good at fashion/celebrity news? it depends if the guy's confident enough to date one.................
