do i get housing?? help!

okay i was accepted and i just recently decided i want to attend madison. But the only housing info i've received is for the princeton halls and private housing...i want to dorm in the residence halls but have not gotten any info and its been awhile. i read this on the site:
University Housing will send students a housing contract upon their admission to the University as long as space remains available.
does that mean theres no space left?? i didn't get a housing contract...did i?
help!

You should have gotten a form to make a deposit reservation for housing. Call the housing office ASAP. The private dorms are not bad at all--many prefer them as the rules are less strict, etc.

My dd received info on the private residence halls within a few days of her acceptance. She received infor from the University on dorms about 3 weeks later. Call the housing office and ask them to FAX the preference sheet to you. All the info about University housing is online and you can rank your preferences and FAX the form back, with hardcopy and your $50 deposit in the mail.

I have called the housing office for this university residence problem. They explained to me that the process is like they send out a batch of contracts, after the deadline for that batch, they count the number of space of dorms left and they send out another batch of contracts to the next group of acceptee and so on.
They have stopped sending out housing contracts for now and have to wait till next week to know how many contracts can they send for the next batch. All we can do is to wait. If nothing is sent to u by the end of April, call them.
