ECs: lots of involvement in music, multiple leadership roles within the school leadership program (which I’ve been in all 4 years)–school was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall twice; outside of school, I’m also heavily involved in many aspects of music-- I’ve been regionally recognized in the tri-state area which led to a Carnegie Hall solo performance (if that helps); I’ve had a job as a tutor for a Korean tutoring center for ~3 years; black belt in MMA, trained in Haganah/Krav Maga as well, MMA assistant for a year; and lots more…

Northeastern is obviously a reach for me, I just want to know where I stand amongst other applicants. My essays will hopefully be superb, and teacher recs are from teachers who I know will submit excellent ones. One question: my SAT II Math II score is below 700, is it worth submitting to either college?
Thanks!

Don’t bother submitting either subject tests. Northeastern doesn’t consider SAT IIs in admissions.

Alright. Is everything else ok though? Do I have somewhat of a chance in EA?

Looks good

Thanks, any other insight?

Bump…any more information?

bump…

I’m not an expert but I think you look like a strong candidate. Why do you think it is a reach?

@skeptile I’ve read results threads on here and I feel like many of the people accepted are highly qualified lol. I hope I have a decent chance, as you say.

Strong grades and ec. Decent SAT but not sure if in 50% range. If you applied early plan on being deferred. It seems nothing is a guarantee even for someone with higher scores. Have some other schools in mind. My son is applying to same school with 2100+ SAT, lower weighted GPA. He needs merit to consider. Will have to just wait and see. Good luck.
