GPA
well i sent my transcripts for foreign credential evaluation and got a GPA of 3.67 but they evaluated only on ONE transcript that was the 10th grade leaving examinations... so i filled out the self reported coursework form and if you go by that my GPA should be slightly over 3.8

SAT scores

Math:800
CR:740
Writing: 750

SAT subject Tests(i dont know if they'll look at these but its in the report from collegeboard):
Maths II-800
Chemistry-800
Physics-800

No APs offered at our school
I sent some teacher rec's and one from the principal

ECs: Ecomm-buzz Club Member- a club at our school that organizes inter-school symposiums and takes part in them
Web Designing, Debates, Dramatics (organized some plays and radio shows for the class), got ranks in some National Olympiads and inter-school activities
Class President in 10th and 12th grade

Community service Projects: Education of farmers about organic farming, TB and Polio vaccination camps

i did… they said they only evaluate external examination scores- as the 10th grade leaving exams are conducted by a central board in India, and i tried convincing them but no use … so i contacted the gtech admission office and they said they do not look at transcripts either and only the foreign credential evaluation but they would consider if I filled out the coursework form… so I did that… another quick question: does Georgia Tech consider teacher recommendations?.. i sent them anyways

I was the member of the Top 4 of the student council in my school.

Please help.
My rank in High school has always been in the Top 6.
I have job experience of working in a textile manufacturing factory for 4 months.

That may be how it works in the “chance” forum, but not in the school forums. And even in the chance forum, bumping a month old thread won’t get you any feedback.

Its harder for international student to get admission for GT. I know a friend (international student) who got accepted to CMU but rejected from GT. Although I wonder how the op’s stat got waitlisted…

i’m not lying about my grades you can come check them out… if you want i can mail you my entire application… i suspect they took 3.67 as my GPA instead of calculating from that self reported worksheet. anyways i dont want to discuss this any further… their admission is based on a lot of criteria beyond grades
