I will be starting community college in Fall 2016 and theoretically if I end with a 4.0 and all the classes I need to transfer into UT would I have a chance of getting into straight into McCombs or would I have to do an internal transfer first. I heard McCombs is very competitive and sometimes they don’t even take students with a 4.0. Also if you know anyone who got in from a CC could you tell me how they did it?

It looks like average external transfer GPA this year was 3.95. That is very competitive. They have a link where you can talk to a recruiter. I’d call and ask what they look for. Some of the 4.0s you have heard turned away may not have taken required pre-reqs? Or they may look at extracurricular activity as well.
Thanks for the link
