I know it is a stretch… but what are my chances at Georgetown? (my dream school)
I have taken:
4 science classes (Honors Bio, Honors Chem, Physics over the summer, and a semester of Oceanography)
4 history classes (Ancient history, European history, US history, and this yr AP comp gov. I have also taken International Relations and Global Econ for one semester)
4 maths (Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre Calc, and a semester of financial literacy)
4 english (english 1, honors english, ap lang, ap lit)
4 languages (french 3, latin 1, latin 2, latin 3)
and my electives have been:
one year of film 1
summer sculpture 1&2
sculpture 3&4
advanced sculpture
AP sculpture
ceramics 1&2
ceramics 3&4
my sports have been:
3 years of volleyball (2 coaches awards, 1 year captain)
2 years of beach volleyball (1 year jv and 2nd year varsity)
Varsity softball for one year
other EC’s include:
President of garden club
C.I.T. at Boys&Girls Club of America
Docent at a presidential library
Senior speech program (write and deliver speech to my whole highschool)
awards include:
honors roll
high honors roll
dean’s list
runner up in New York Times Writing contest on two seperate occasions
I also participated in Georgetown’s American Politics Institute over the summer for a week.
I intend on studying History and possibly Political Science as majors.
Also have struggled with bad depression and anxiety throughout my whole high school experience (should I mention this anywhere in applications…?)
“You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take” (Cheesy but true ). Definitely worth applying but make sure you have other options you love. If you haven’t already, check out Richmond, Boston College, American, Fordham, Villanova, Colgate, GW, UVA, Santa Clara, and College of the Holy Cross. All great schools with some similar qualities that are a little less of a reach.

my highest SAT score is a 1310

Sorry to be the antagonistic person on his thread, but your GPA as UW would be like a 3.3 so that is about 6 points off the average, which is insanely unrealistic. Your SAT score is 1310 which is about 22nd percentile, so to be honest, you better have some damn good essays if you even want like a 25% change of getting in.
