My stats either 3.3 uw and 3.46 or 3.33 uw and 3.5 w by end of junior year. My SAT is 1560, 600 math, 510 reading, 450 writing. My EC are Key Club 4 years, Track and Field 3 years, SADD 2 years, Library Volunteer, and worker at APPNA Physician Conference, and Might do Lead American Health Care Conference this summer, but not 100% on that and plan on volunteering at my dad’s hospital sometime soon. I had 3.1 uw and 3.25 w freshman year so tried to get a upward trend going. Do I have a shot at OSU??? I want to go for pre med and major in a science or social science. Also taking SAT again in June.

Although the GPA isn’t above average, it is still very good that you have an upward trend. It shows that you work harder ever year. However, you’ll need to improve your SAT score. I’m sure you have the potential and all you need to do is keep practicing those tests (make sure you understand the answers and keep track of timing). Other than that, your extracurriculars are good. They show that you have clear interest in pre-med as long as you continue those activities in the summer. If you keep up your hard work, you’ll have a very good shot at OSU. Good luck :)

Why is your writing score so low? And your reading score? To be honest, the writing score will land you in a remedial class at most universities. Most major flagship universities are going to require higher scores than that.

I would recommend cutting back on some of the extracurriculars to focus on your numbers. At the end of the day, the ECs are not going to matter that much to a big school like OSU where everyone has a smattering of the same activities and the numbers are of paramount importance. Unless you’ve really distinguished yourself outside the classroom (major leadership positions, national recognition, etc.), do not expect ECs to open doors for you.
