Do I have any chance of admission?

Hi, I was wondering if someone could give me an opinion on if I have any shot at all in getting into the SFS at Georgetown (EA).

I have really mediocre SAT 1 scores (2010 [math: 630, reading: 660, writing: 720), but the rest of my application is very strong (most rigorous courses available, take half of my classes at a university now, solid extra-circulars, leadership, very good letters of recommendation, and special circumstances, which are conveyed in my recommendations), and the SAT II I've taken is a 700 (taking two more next week).

I hope to major in international political economy, and I hope to go to law school after I earn my BA.

Thank you so much :)

*Additional Stats
4.0 (unweighted) GPA
12 class rank in a private h.s. where rank for the top 60 is very competitive
AP tests thus far: Euro, American History, Biology - 4 in everything, completely self-taught become the teachers did not prepare us at all

Everything, including your gpa makes you a very strong applicant.
However, the SAT score is not very good.(Since GU only looks at CR and Math).

I think with a good essay, you will have some chance but not very strong.
If I were you, I would take SAT again in December and submit it for Regular Decision in case you get deferred.

thanks! I was thinking along the same line. Unfortunately, my SAT scores only went down in October and I did study for them. It just seems like nothing I can do helps my scores, and I do better when I don’t study any of it at all. I guess I’ll see.

The SAT just doesn’t work that way. The more you study it, the better you will do. You have strong stats, but being under the 25% for both CR and Math will make admission a challenge. Good luck in November!
