I just got my SatII scores back and I got a 790 mathIIC. However, I have never seen a person get into stanfrod for engineering with a 790. Would retaking the mathIIC to get 800 help me, or will the officers seeign that I retook a 79a nd thinking im a perfectionist actually hurt me, if even i get 800.THANK YOU!

Don't retake it. I got in with a 780 IIC. I was also initially upset at my score because I'm strong at math and I thought that with the generous curve, it would be an easy 800. I guess I was really tired that morning. The point is, don't retake it. Once your SAT's are in the 750+ range, work on other parts of the app. An increase in 10 points is negligible, and who knows? As you said, it may backfire in that colleges could view you as a number-obsessive perfectionist.
