Do I have have even an infinitesimal % chance

Hello, I'm a Korean junior living in Canada... please tell me if you think I have a chance at:

UC Berkeley
Columbia
Cornell
UPenn
Dartmouth
UCLA
Brown
John Hopkins University
University of Chicago

SAT I: Verbal 740 Math 720 Writing 720
Sat II: none yet
AP: Bio 5, Psychology 5, Chemistry 5, Physics B 5, World History 5, more to come after this year
GPA: 92.31
Class Rank: not sure...but roughly 10/400
EC: Success Tutor, Science Club (co-president), Leo's Club, Amnesty International, Library Club, Stage Crew
Volunteer: 72 hours in senior care center, 80 hours for Burnaby Recreations

Uh...Korean applying to John Hopkins is usually spelled "accepted".

really? why is that?

They seem to have a thing for them. You also have the stats for it.

Infinitesimal, ahh, reminds me of Physics (E and M). Your objective stats are competitive. EC's don't stand out. You're applying to all ultra-competitive schools; you need a hook because of your average/competitive stats for those schools.

i figured as much...thanks

You have a chance, and especially because you're a junior who can take the SAT1 again. You're actually really lucky because the sections you didn't do as well on are math and writing, both of which can be prepped for really easily. Math obviously is just practice, repeat 9084x. Writing is like math--grammar is like applying a formula. Get an old SAT2 writing book and you'll be good. I think you have a really good chance for any Ivy with a 2300.

as of right now
johns hopkins and chicago = accepted

you should do something about your ec's if you're going ivy- maybe sports? or team manager if nonathletic? i dunno.....they just dont stand out

neoking77:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach (out of state)

i think ur scores are there for johns hopkins (i got in ed), make sure they know ur enthusiastic, and write a GREAT essay, they look at that a lot. and if u do the common app, do the hopkins optional essays. good luck!
